cask.news is a catalog of macOS apps distributed through Homebrew. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site and its newsletter.

Newsletter subscriptions

If you subscribe, we store the email address and digest frequency you provide, solely to send the updates you asked for. Emails are delivered through Resend. Every email includes an unsubscribe link and you can opt out at any time. We never sell or share your email address.

Bot protection — Cloudflare Turnstile

To stop automated abuse of our signup form, the subscribe form uses Cloudflare Turnstile. Turnstile may collect information about your visit and device (such as your IP address and browser signals) to distinguish humans from bots. This processing is performed by Cloudflare and is governed by the Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Policy and Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. We use Turnstile only to protect the subscribe form, and for no other purpose.

Usage & analytics

Install counts and trends shown on the site come from Homebrew's public, anonymized analytics — not from tracking you. Our servers keep standard request logs and briefly use your IP address to rate-limit abusive traffic. We don't build advertising profiles or use third-party trackers.
